Edna was born and raised in Mexico City where the countless hours she spent sitting in traffic motivated her to pursue a career in transportation. She earned her B.S. in Civil Engineering in 2018 at the George Washington University in Washington, DC. There she worked in the Traffic and Networks Research Laboratory where she researched the relationship between the spread of the influenza virus and the use of public transit as well as factors that increase bike/pedestrian-vehicle collisions. Currently, Edna is a Project Engineer at EXP where she works on a variety of projects including site/civil design, sidewalk/trail geometric design, and 3D modeling. She cares about the environment and uses her legs, bikes, and public transit as her main modes of transportation. She likes playing sports, reading, and learning new skills.
