Bio

I have been a planner in the public and private sectors since 2009, specializing in land use and transportation planning, housing policy, and community development.

I am currently a Senior Transportation Planner for Metro's Planning and Development Department with a work program including leading long range transit planning, supporting the MPO and local partnership programs, and staffing major regional transportation planning projects such as Boone Bridge for Metro. I also formerly staffed the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project and the Interstate Bridge Replacement Program.

Previously, I was a Senior Lead Transportation Planning Consultant at WSP working on major regional projects. I oversaw the work of a team as WSP's communications task lead for the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project. I also led development of the performance measures for the project.

I was also a Senior Planner for the City of Hillsboro's Long Range Planning Department as project manager for the Transportation System Plan Update, which featured a robust public outreach program. Prior to that I assumed the role of project manager to see the Comprehensive Plan Update through to adoption. I have also coordinated a variety of smaller-scale projects, including creation and management of the City’s Bicycle Fleet and Planning Department youth education outreach.

As a Planner II for SACOG, I was closely involved in the update of the MTP/SCS, conducting detailed and technical work using GIS to create a multiple scenarios. I also conducted research; compiled and analyzed data; and developed maps, charts, and graphs illustrating data for the MTP/SCS, which I presented at jurisdiction outreach meetings and workshops. I was the primary writer for the MTP/SCS EIR before stepping in to finish the report and complete the CEQA process (unchallenged). I also assumed management of an affordable housing and transportation grant program technical assistance project requiring state and local coordination.

As a Planner at Mintier Harnish, my tenure included 10 general plans, seven housing elements, two climate action plans, one zoning code, and many other regional, special district, and specific plans.
